Another engagement!!

My good friend Nicole got engaged to her boyfriend Billy on the 24th! Congrats to the both of you! She is planning a September/October wedding! Another year full of weddings! It's going to be a good one!

Pat's Christmas Party

Pat's work Christmas party was a few weeks ago and it was really fun! They have it at a little bar in Bettendorf. He only works with a few other guys-one bing my brother Erik. There is usually around 20 people because of the spouses that come. This is Frog-the warehouse custodian-I guess that's what you would call him. Adam gives him work in exchange for beer and cigarettes. He gets paid by the hour too! How Adam meet him I have no idea! Layla-my brother Eriks wife

Katlyn's 25th Birthday Party!

So this party was a lot of fun and I loved that Kat had a theme for her party! Some of the guys complained about getting all dressed up-No Jeans were allowed-but it gave me and my sister a reason to buy a cute black dress!

The Elks throws a Christmas Party every year for the kids. Since I am a member I got to help out with party. They had crafts, face painting, food , and gifts for all the kids. It was a really good turnout around 60 kids total. each kid left with a gift card for Wal-Mart.

I believe in miracles

Here's my sister-Grandma Joy with her grandbaby Aubrey. Aubrey is 7 months old now and weighs almost 9 lbs. It's weird to think Evie is 3x the size of her and only 1 month older. Aubrey is our miracle grandbaby being born at just 1 lb. If she's a fighter now what's she going to be like when she's older?!! Watch out Nick and Ashley!

speaking of Christmas

Why do guys wait until the last minute (Dec 24th!) to buy Christmas presents?? All I want to do is shake the boxes under the tree but I can't because the only boxes under there are Pat's. My husband doesn't buy gifts until the last minute. He claims that he buys them and stores them at his mom's house but I know this is a lie because last year I had to exchange something and he gave me the receipt and it said Dec 24th!!! Really?!! He also claims that I ruin the fun because I shake the boxes to find out what's in it. I might know that there's a shirt in it but I do not know what the shirt looks like! Come on! Let me be a kid again!! But no he's ruined christmas b/c I think I am not getting anything because there's nothing under the tree. This is just plain mean!!

Busted :(

So I haven't posted in awhile. I have lots of pictures to post but will have to wait to do that until I get more time. It's hard to keep up this month because of the holidays and parties and whatnots! I also have bad news...My camera busted now I am without one and I do not know what I'm going to do. If you know me you know that I have my camera everywhere I go. This sucks. I tried to take pictures of Maverick yesterday at his concert-which was super cute- he was dancing and singing! But everytime I took a picture it was blurry with redish orange lines going through it. I am very picky when it comes to cameras. I went through 2 kodak digital cameras and refuse to buy another Kodak camera.

Engaged!!!

So my twin sister got engaged today!!! Congrats to her and Doug! Another wedding to plan. Doug is a very nice guy and he loves her daughter Evelyn and he can handle Janelle so anyone that can take on all that is a winner in my book!! I don't quite think he knows what he's getting himself into though! But he did make it through Thanksgiving and Halloween at the cabin. The ring is beautiful. On the plus side she's always wanted to go to a tropical place to get married so this means a nice vacation for Pat and me. But on the negative side it looks like we'll be waiting longer to get pregnant.

Ok so it seems I always blog about my niece Evie and nephew Maverick. So here is my nephew Austin and me at Thanksgiving. Austin is my Saturday morning goodwill and garage sale buddy. He love's one on one time with people(he has 3 brothers so this doesn't come too often) He's really fun and funny too. The things these kids say are often shocking but really funny! It's weird to think he's not so little anymore. He knows a lot more about things than I give him credit for! Or maybe I just don't want to believe he's growing up so fast.

Randomness

So the next few blogs are about random things that have happened in the last few weeks. Usually I'm really good about posting but have been busy and lazy lately. I don't want to overload everyone with pictures so I'll just post a few now and a few later. So I've noticed over the last few months that I take my camera everywhere and take pictures of everything. I finally developed pictures and there was over 350 of them! Not cheap!!! I've been bugging Pat that I want a better more high tech camera-one that takes really good pictures not just good pictures.

But the problem is is that it costs alot of money and we don't have that to spend on a camera! But I did tell him that when we start having babies he's going to have to save money and buy this for me when I push the first little one out!! I think that's only fair!

So here are some random cute things I have either picked up at the good will or have made myself. The boat I was going to give to my friend Laura for her hot tub room but thought it looked super sure in my bathroom plus it has two little drawers and a spot for baskets! Only $3.38! The Irons picture frame I've posted about before but I got the frame from mom and painted it black and added the decale and then I just hung pictures I had at home. The last one is my favorite! Another thing from the goodwill I got the picture for $2.38 and bought a frame. I think it looks really good.

This was too funny! We had family dinner a few weeks back and Maverick decided he wanted salad but didn't want to get a plate for the salad he wanted to eat straight out of the bowl.

Check out the new do! I've never been this red before but wanted something new. I'm still getting used to it but I like it. This was taken one day after I got it done so it's not as bright now as this pisture shows. What do you think??

Preview

So I talked with my photographer and he hopes to have the pictures to me this weekend!! He sent me 2 as a preview-really to get me off his back!! But it's been a month and I'm excited to see them!
