I am the proud owner of the nicest, most well behaved (we don't even have to use a leash! But no worries we do anyway), sweet pit bull mix. We found her 3 years ago and I was very reluctant to keep her because she was a pit bull and you all know what kind of a reputation pit bulls have. After 3 days of deciding what to do we kept her and it's been the best thing we've done! She is so cuddly and affectionate. She rarely chews on things she shouldn't-there was a nice pair of white heels I was planning on wearing with a dress one summer and Austin's pencil pointer last week but those are very rare! Tally goes everywhere with us, she's with us so much that my brother said one time and I quote " Where's your retarded dog? Why do you take her everywhere with you?" Mean I know but my response was "Why do you take your kids everywhere with you?!! It was a really good one! All that being said the reason I am writing this post is because I was out in my front yard playing monkey in the middle with three of my nephews last week(the same day the pencil pointer thingy got chewed) and the little

neighbor boy asked it he could come over and play with us and I said sure. Well this little boy likes to talk a lot and does not have a sensor. Tally was out in the front playing with us when this little boy-Jimmy- told me what his sister thought about my dog. Well it went a little like this:
Jimmy: My sister says your dog is mean. She says we have to go on the porch whenever we are playing outside and your dog comes home. She says we cannot pet your dog.
Me: how old is your sister?
Jimmy: She's 29
Me: Well Jimmy, Tally is a very nice dog and your sister is wrong.
He said a few more things that made me angry but I can't quite remember them. Oh and I forgot to mention that this great family has a st. Bernard and a fox looking dog that are caged in the back yard and never get to go inside not even in the winter or summer months!
Yeah I know people are always going to assume that a pit bull is going to rip their face off(as my dad would say) but that's not true. Sure there are some people who breed bad dogs but for all those people there are twice as many who breed good dogs. I know a lot of people with pit bulls and all of them are very well behaved dogs. I have 9 nieces and nephews who adore Tally and I would never own an animal who would potentially hurt one of them.
